Free Trial and Personal Mode
ProcessModel is free to try, and free to keep using in a limited form. There is no account to create and no license key to enter to get started. You can download it and begin from the trial page.
Free Trial
Section titled “Free Trial”When you install ProcessModel, a Free Trial begins automatically, with every feature unlocked. The trial runs for 3 days, and you can extend it to 14 days just by signing in with your email address, with no credit card and no commitment. Signing in uses a link sent to your inbox, so there is no password to remember.
Personal mode
Section titled “Personal mode”When the trial ends, ProcessModel does not lock you out. It keeps working for free in Personal mode, a permanent free tier meant for learning and smaller models. A few limits apply:

When you reach one of these limits, ProcessModel tells you at that point: the button to add a fourth variable is disabled, the action-logic editor shows a “line 6 of 6” counter, and starting a run longer than 7 simulated days asks you to shorten it. The AI panels show an upgrade note in place of the assistant.
What still works in Personal mode
Section titled “What still works in Personal mode”Personal mode is fully usable, not a crippled preview. It has no limit on model size: you can add as many activities, resources, entities, queues, and routes as you like. And these are never restricted:
- The full results report, with every tab and every column.
- Saving, reopening, exporting, printing, and copying results.
There is no watermark on your models or reports. If a model is larger than the Personal limits allow, you can still open it, edit it, and save it. Only running it waits until you trim it back under the limits or upgrade.
Upgrading to Professional
Section titled “Upgrading to Professional”To lift the Personal limits and turn the AI features back on, upgrade to a Professional license. After you buy, ProcessModel picks up the new license automatically the next time it checks in, with nothing to re-enter.
LegacyHow this worked in the previous version
The trial software now has functionality after the 14-day trial period ends. Many customers asked for the ability to use ProcessModel as a training tool. We heard you. The trial software now becomes a limited version of ProcessModel and remains active indefinitely. This new capability allows you to see the powers of the full software during the trial and then use the personal version as an active learning tool.
The personal version allows the following:

- Limitations of existing models include: 168-hour run length, experiments disabled, importing disabled, and replications limited to five. Notice that the limitations do not apply to models created by ProcessModel. Specially designed models made by our home office run without limitation in the Personal Version.
