Keyboard shortcuts
This page lists the keyboard shortcuts for the modeling canvas. The canvas shortcuts do not act while you are typing in a box. The windows that have their own keys, such as the action logic editor, are linked at the end.
Shortcuts shown in the menus

Shortcuts that are in no menu
Section titled “Shortcuts that are in no menu”| Keys | What they do |

| Ctrl+E | Opens the action logic of the selected activity or queue. |
| Ctrl+D | Turns Annotation mode on and off. See Annotations and labels. |
| Ctrl+Shift+D | Duplicates the selection. In Annotation mode it duplicates the selected annotations. |
| Ctrl+] and Ctrl+[ | Bring Forward and Send Backward, for a single annotation selected in Annotation mode. |
| Arrow keys | Nudge the selection by 1 pixel. Hold Shift to nudge it by 10. |
| F2 | Renames the selected shape. |
| F1 | Opens About. |
| Esc | Closes the open window, clears the selection and leaves Annotation mode. |
| Space | Pauses and resumes a run. See Simulation run-time controls. |
In other windows
Section titled “In other windows”- In Demo Models, Ctrl+F or / puts the cursor in the search box.
- In the tables of the Output Report, Ctrl+A selects every row and Ctrl+C copies the selected rows.
- In the Find and Replace window, Enter and Shift+Enter step through the matches.
- The action logic editor has its own keys. See Action logic keyboard shortcuts.
On a Mac
Section titled “On a Mac”The shortcuts are the same, with Command in place of Ctrl. The menus show them with the Mac’s own symbols, and the menus themselves are in the Mac’s menu bar at the top of the screen.
